This is a single family residential project, designed to provide for the transition to independence for a physically disabled individual.  To do this, while intended to be used only by a single family, this project aprovides  separate living space for both the disabled adult and his aging parents.  This permits his parents to continue to assist as his caregivers as he lives independently.

 

This is an exciting recognition that we are a society which values all individuals, and strives to accommodate features often found in "Universal Design" and "Age In Place" concepts, with a growing audience in the architectural world.
